Remember Me

I know my life upon this earth

Will someday have to end

I only hope that when I'm gone

I'll be remembered as a friend.

By the many, many people

I have met along the way

By the people who have helped me

In my life from day to day.

And I hope I'll be remembered

By my family, with love

As a mom who tried to understand

And had faith in God above.

A mom who did the best she could

And shared her love with all

Not always right --- but always there

To answer --- should they call.

And may the one I love ---

Remember through the years

That my love was with him always

Through happiness and tears.

So bow not your heads in sorrow

But please, these memories keep

You made my life a happy one

And now in peace, I sleep.
