I know it's all been said before

And there's nothing more to say,

But I have to try just one more time

To drive my blues away.

I know I've cried a million tears

And I know that's nothing new,

It's a story old as time itself

Of a love that proved untrue.

They loved and laughed and promised

And swore they'd never part ----

Their love would last forever

As each one gave his heart.

But forever goes so quickly ----

And the heartbreak is so sad

And memories are all that's left

Of the love that they once had.

So now you've heard it one more time

A story ---- sad, but true

With only one big difference ----
