MY TRIBUTE TO GOD AND COUNTRY

Let’s remember 9/11 in a very special way
Let’s remember all the people, who lost their lives that day
Let’s remember --- vividly --- the horror in the sky
That brought to us such terror, and left us wondering “why?”

Let’s remember all the heroes, who gave their lives that day
Just trying to help others, who were trapped along the way
Let’s remember all the mourners, searching for the ones they love
And know the ones still missing --- are safe with God above.

To lay down one’s life for another, is the greatest love of all
So many heroes upon that day, answered that final call.
The passengers on “Flight 93” knew they were going to die
So, many were using their cell phones, to say their last good-bye.

Then all together --- in single file --- they tried to take control,
And though they crashed , it was well before, the hi-jackers met their goal.
Remember the heroes, remember the day, remember the ones who died
Let’s honor our God and our country --- with everlasting pride.

No matter what happens tomorrow, no matter what happens today
We’re all united and we are all free, and that’s how we’re going to stay!      
I know we are still facing trouble, and more good men will be lost
But conquer, we will, we shall overcome, no matter what the cost.
