My Cat

My cat's a superior creature ---

At least he thinks that's true

And he's been trying to teach me

The things I need to do.

I furnish all the basics,

And that includes a bed

Of course he doesn't use it ---

He sleeps with me instead!

So when I go to sleep at night,

I don't set my alarm ---

I know my cat will wake me ---

He has that special charm.

He's really temperamental,

And needs a lot of perks

In fact, I think that he believes ---

He rules the whole darn works!
