I'm trying to discover Who I am, and where I'm at, And where I want to go from here, Now who can tell me that?
To my children I'm a mother, And twice, I was a wife, To my parents I'm a daughter, It was they who gave me life.
I'm a sister to my brother And I'm a grandma, too, I'm a niece, a cousin, and an aunt. What am I to you -----??
If I should ask each person, How amazing it might be, For each answer would reveal A different part of me.
But put them all together ----- And see what you will find, The good, the bad, the weak, the sad, It's tearing up my mind.
For I am somewhere ----- deep inside, So deep that I can't see, I haven't had a chance to live Much of life as ----- me.
