Lord The Snow Is Cold

The snow is falling softly But Lord, the snow is cold Beautiful --- but treacherous So lovely to behold.
A cover, soft and luminous It hides each ugly sight But it can be deceiving, Lord, The snow so soft and white.
Like the life we're living --- We drift from day to day Not realizing what we have Until it's gone away.
I guess that life is like the snow So beautiful --- it seems We see it, and we reach for it And dream such lovely dreams.
But when we try to grasp it --- Like the snow --- it melts away And we are left with memories Of our dreams of yesterday.
Yes, the snow is falling softly But Lord, the snow is cold Beautiful --- but treacherous So lovely to behold.
