IF

IF is a word that's very small

Though used quite frequently by all

It's used in excuses, it's used in dreams

It's used in bribes, and it's used in schemes.

IF I hadn't, or IF I had -----

Maybe things wouldn't have been so bad

IF only I could, or IF only they would

I'm sure my life would be quite good.

IF I had more money, or IF I were free

You'd see how different things would be

IF is really half of life

IF is also found in strife.

It's in difficult and terrific, too

Which way does it apply to you?

IF can even decide your fate -----

You may lose out, IF you're too late.

IF you but try -----you can succeed

Others will follow, IF you lead

IF is a powerful word, you see

IF it's used constructively.

It's powerful too, IF used the wrong way

But IF is in our life to stay

So use it wisely, IF you will -----

IF your desires ----- you would fulfill.
