I Can See The Light Above

I'm climbing up the stairway -----

I can see the light above

If  I can only reach it,

Perhaps I'll find true love.

I've been locked up in darkness,

I couldn't see the light,

But now I am emerging -----

It's been a long dark night.

I'm breaking through the shadows,

The shadows of the past,

Looking to the future -----

When I'll be free at last.

I have been a prisoner -----

Imprisoned by your love,

But now I am escaping -----

I can see the light above.

One step ----- and then another,

Soon I will be free,

It's been a long and lonely night

But now the dawn I see.
