Excuses

We always make excuses -----

But if they all came true???

Listen very carefully -----

Do you think this could be you?

My clock ----- it must be broken!

My car won't even start!

My neighbors kept me awake last night!

I have a pain in my heart!

My baby-sitter didn't show -----

I guess she's got the flu,

Now all my kids will have it,

And I'll prob'ly catch it too!

The tire on my car is flat,

And I don't have a spare

I'll have to get it fixed, you see,

Before I can make it there.

So don't expect me early -----

I'll get there when I can

Life is really quite a hassle -----

Nothing goes the way I plan!

I must go see the Dr. -----

I'm sick as sick can be

I must go get some medicine,

I just ran out ----- you see?

My dog just got a broken leg,

I must take him to the vet!

Now, don't think I've let you down,

I know I'll get there yet!

"Better late than never" -----

So the saying goes

I would have been there earlier

But I had a bloody nose!

See ----- I finally made it,

What is that ----- you say?

You've found someone to take my job?

I can go collect my pay?

What a terrible thing to do!

You know I really tried!

I couldn't help what happened,

Why can't you see my side?

You know it isn't my fault -----

It must just be my fate,

To always have these problems

That cause me to be late.
