A Tangled Web

There are no patterns in my life Just tangled webs I see No directions there to follow The decision's up to me.
I try to see what lies ahead And I'm filled with fright I know that I must make a choice Will it be wrong or right?
My life is at a standstill now I'm looking o'er my past That tangled web --- so filled with hurt Will I be free at last?
Or will I choose the path that leads Me back --- to my despair Once more to be imprisoned by The web that's waiting there?
Dear God, I pray that I may choose The path that's straight and clear May I no longer be enmeshed In a web of doubt and fear.
There are no patterns in my life Just tangled webs I see No directions there to follow The decision's up to me.
